Welcome to the DMD Scholarship Program
This is a guide to help you submit your scholarship application correctly.

Who Qualifies?
Delta Mu Delta members, or those about to become members by June 17th of the current year, enrolled in the business programs at schools where there is a chapter of Delta Mu Delta, are eligible to compete in the Society’s annual Scholarship Awards Program.

What You Need To Know
What you will need (to complete your application):
- Names of all colleges and universities you have attended.
- A short essay that provides examples and insights which demonstrate your character and ethical behavior. We recommend that you write this in WORD first so that you can spell check, proof and save a copy, in case there is a submission issue.
- A list of organizations, offices held, and any relevant honors, awards, or other special recognitions received, along with approximate date of receiving these honors.
- Optional, if there are extenuating circumstances that you believe the judges should know about your situation, please provide a short essay that explains those circumstances. We recommend that you write this in WORD first so that you can spell check, proof and save a copy, in case there is a submission issue.
Application process:
- Delta Mu Delta accepts scholarship applications and recommendations via its online system only.
- Applications mailed, faxed or otherwise sent will not be accepted.
- One application per applicant.
- Members can only be awarded a DMD Scholarship once per degree level (Bachelors, Masters, Doctoral).
- You are allowed to revisit your application as many times as needed; however, once the application has been submitted
NO FURTHER ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS CAN BE MADE. NO EXCEPTIONS. - After successfully submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation page containing your APPLICATION NUMBER, you must provide this number to the persons you have asked to provide recommendations on your behalf.
- Applications not completed and submitted by the June 17, 2024 deadline will be removed from eligibility.
Document Preparation:
Transcripts
- DMD will only accept those transcripts that come directly from the Registrar Office(s) on the campus you are attending and, if applicable, any other college where you studied.
- DMD WILL NOT accept transcripts that are submitted from anyone other than the Registrar Office.
- DMD suggests that you order your transcripts as soon as you make a decision to apply for a scholarship.
The mailing of transcripts can often take up to two weeks. - Official transcripts must be sent directly from the Registrar’s Office and postmarked by June 17, 2024.

Recommendations
- You must have recommendations completed by at least two, but no more than three, persons who can speak specifically to your accomplishments.
- One recommendation MUST be from a faculty or staff member at your current university who can attest to your involvement and academic activities.

Scholarship Application Rules
- Only Delta Mu Delta members (or students who will become members by June 17th) may apply.
- At the time of application, a student must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate business program where there is an active Delta Mu Delta chapter.
- An applicant may submit only one application.
- Members can only be awarded a DMD Scholarship once per degree level (Bachelors, Masters, Doctoral)
- Transcripts must be postmarked by June 17, 2024.
- The website for receiving online applications and recommendations will close at midnight (CST) on June 17, 2024.
- One recommendation MUST be from a Faculty or Staff Member at your current university, who can attest to your involvement in academic activities.
- Awards are based on scholastic achievement, leadership qualities, and character/ethical behavior.
- Scholarship judges are appointed by the DMD President and report their evaluations to the DMD Scholarship Committee. This Committee is solely responsible for granting the scholarships and the Scholarship Committee’s decision is final.
