Since 1992 ACBSP, the Association Council for Business Schools and Programs, has become the accrediting agency for Delta Mu Delta.
Any school seeking to have a new chapter of DMD must first meet the high standards set by ACBSP for business programs around the world.
We are their exclusive honor society for 4-year accredited institutions.
ACHS, the Association of College Honor Societies, sets and maintains the standards for all of the national/international honor societies – approximately 70 in all. DMD is proud to have been a member of this body since 1963 and must file periodic reaffirmation documents with ACHS. The ACHS web site publishes a list and describes each member society.
SBD is a sister business honor society for institutions that are state or regionally accredited. DMD and SBD have close ties and have co-sponsored our DMD Conference Meetings. Visit their site for a great number of pictures at our joint Triennial where DMD presented SBD with a 10-year anniversary cake!
KBD, Kappa Beta Delta, is a sister business honor society for ACBSP-accredited two-year institutions. DMD and BGS joined efforts to found this Society back in 1996 and consequently this society shares our names.
KBD attends the ACBSP conferences and shares exhibit space with DMD and SBD. DMD, KBD and BGS are members of the Federation of Business Honor Societies.
BGS is a sister honor society that specializes in institutions accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, AACSB International. Many chapters have migrated from DMD to BGS across the years as the institutions were able to achieve AACSB accreditation. Now, it is possible, and even preferable, for an institution to maintain both accreditations. Only a few schools have chapters of both DMD and BGS. DMD, KBD and BGS are members of the Federation of Business Honor Societies.
