On June 18, 2019, Delta Mu Delta Alpha Iota Chapter and Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) Accounting Club faculty advisers and student officers from Athens State University combined efforts in a community service project to donate a variety of items to the Senior Rebab and Recovery Center at Limestone Health Facility (LHF) in Athens, Alabama.  The donated items will be used as prizes and recognition items for the center’s activities and rehabilitation programs.  Those present to make the donation were (from left to right): Dr. Diann Hammon, Hillary Knight, Colton Hicks, Lanie Sampson, Professor Debra Vaughn, Savannah Smith, Tiffanie Duke, Kenisha Anderson (LHF Activities), Emily Stanley, Teresa Moore (LHF Activities), Professor Emily Corzine, and Dr. John Berzett.  Kenisha Anderson of LHF stated, “We very much appreciate the donation and appreciate your community involvement and support.”  Mary Nelle Clem, Director of Activities at LHF, was unable to be present at the donation but helped tremendously to coordinate the logistics of the donation.  Dr. John Berzett, DMD Faculty Adviser, stated, “We were so glad to be able to join forces with the Accounting Club and make this donation worth over $200 to the center.  We appreciate LHF’s willingness to support our community service project, and the student leaders involved in the project were very excited to help and their support is so much appreciated.”
