Mentoring is not only important for individuals, but also for the health of your organization at all levels. Finding and developing protégés is an important part of a manager’s job. When you graduate, your lifetime career is just beginning. You will often need different mentors in all stages of your career from middle management to the c-suite; entrepreneurs have even greater needs for mentors. A mentor can guide you through challenging work situations, provide non-judgmental feedback, and focus your ambitions on personal advancement on education and skills development.

But what if there aren’t any appropriate mentors available to me? Garrett Mintz devised Ambition-in-Motion (AIM) to match mentors and mentees. Delta Mu Delta has partnered with AIM to ensure that our members – as high-achieving individuals – have the opportunity to find a mentor. Many of these mentees eventually become mentors!
