Delta Mu Delta 2017 Student Competition

2017 Delta Mu Delta Biennial Conference

November 3-5, Baltimore, Maryland

Delta Mu Delta will be holding a competition for students at our 2017 Biennial Conference in Baltimore, Maryland.  Delta Mu Delta members can participate individually or as a team. Both undergraduate and graduate students are invited to present.  Presentations will be held on Saturday, November 4.  Note: Competitors are responsible for costs to register and attend the conference.

Details:  Develop and present a business plan for launching a Delta Mu Delta Alumni Program. Consider how you would want to engage with Delta Mu Delta as a lifetime member. Format:  Students may use printed posters, handouts, and/or computers in the session.  Internet access will be available.  A tri-fold poster board measuring 48” x 36” will be provided at the conference upon request.  Keep in mind that poster templates and design help are available on the Internet.

Winner Selection:  A panel of judges will evaluate the content, feasibility, creativity, design and delivery of submissions.  If your work is used by Delta Mu Delta central office, it will be credited to you.

How to submit:  In an email, attach the following:  A 200–word (maximum) abstract that outlines the main points of your proposed alumni program. Send this summary as a PDF or Word file. Use the subject line “DMD student competition” in your email and send to: Dr. Joni Adkins, jadkins@nwmissouri.edu

 

Deadlines:
September 15:                  Deadline for abstract, midnight CDT
September 22:                  Notification to selected teams/individuals
November 4:                     Presentation and judging (you must be present to participate)
